Throughout the history of the web a host of services have provided beginner friendly tools that allow users without a web development background to share their content. The most successful of these have allowed users to move between provided templates to view and experiment with the source code that powers content on the web.
In her talk Jessica will look at WordPress in the context of other historical CMS that have offered users a scaffolded entry into web development while offering actionable insights into the use of WordPress as a tool to help guide development skills level from entry level onwards into advanced proficiency.
